Do I have to be a certain age to join?

Yes, you have to be 18 years or older to join.  Nebraska is the exception, you have to be 19 years or older to join if you live in Nebraska. 

 

Do I have to be a certain weight to join?

No. pillarMD is about being and staying healthy. You can join at any weight. Whatever your weight, we will work with you to make sure you are metabolically healthy. 

How will I communicate with the physician?

Once you become a pillarMD patron, you will be sent a link for an app that will allow for direct and one on one communication with one of our board certified physicians. 

Does pillarMD accept insurance?

No, pillarMD does not accept insurance. Instead, we offer a no hassle monthly fee.  

 

What medications does pillarMD prescribe?

pillarMD physicians use a variety of FDA approved medications. These include but are not limited to GLP-1 agonists (like Saxenda, Wegovy, Zepbound), Contrave, metformin, and others. We cannot prescribe weight loss medications to Louisiana residents, but can prescribe metabolic medications. We do not prescribe any stimulant medications such as phentermine. 

 

Are medications or bloodwork covered with the monthly fee?

No. If you have insurance coverage, it can be used for labs ordered as well as any medications that may be prescribed.

Do I have to live in a certain state to be treated?

No. pillarMD physicians are licensed to treat patients in all 50 States and Washington DC. 

How do I update my payment method?

You can update your payment method at anytime through your membership page on the pillarMD.com website. Click on the member icon in the upper left corner of the page. Click on My Subscriptions, and you can easily update your payment method there. If you run into any issues, feel free to contact us, and we will respond to you within 1-2 business days.

How do I cancel? Is the membership refundable?

You can cancel at anytime through your membership page at the pillarMD.com website. Your membership is charged monthly, which is nonrefundable. Once you cancel, your membership will expire a month from your last payment. If you run into any issues, feel free to contact us, and we will respond to you within 1-2 business days.
